Day 1: London to Strasbourg
We depart from St Pancras International on a Eurostar service to Paris, where our journey continues by TGV to Strasbourg. On arrival at your floating hotel, your crew welcomes you on board with a cocktail. There is time to settle into your cabin before we dine together on board. Following our meal we enjoy an evening of dancing as the ship sets sail for St. Goar. (D)
Day 2: St. Goar to Rüdesheim
Today we cruise from St. Goar towards Rüdesheim, arriving shortly after lunch. Once moored you are free to enjoy Rüdesheim at your leisure, or join our optional excursion to Siegfried’s Museum of Mechanical Music, which houses a fascinating collection of old instruments from the last two centuries. After dinner we visit a riverside pub where we have the chance to taste their famous white wine, before rejoining the ship and cruising overnight towards Mannheim. (B,L,D)
Day 3: New Years Eve in Mannheim and Speyer
Once moored in Mannheim you can join our optional excursion to explore the town of Heidelberg, situated in the Neckar Valley, the mecca of German Romanticism. The excursion includes a guided tour of the castle and the old town.We return to the ship for lunch as we cruise onwards to Speyer. In the afternoon you can explore this magnificent town, dominated by its Romanesque cathedral, in the company of the ship’s hostess. On board this evening we cruise back downstream towards Strasbourg while enjoying dinner and our grand New Year’s Eve party, accompanied by wine and a glass of champagne. (B,L,D)
Day 4: New Year’s Day
Following brunch on board, you are free to spend your final day at leisure, discovering Strasbourg at your own pace.You could make your way to the Quai des Pêcheurs for a cruise on the waterways of the city, passing picturesque half-timbered houses, or stroll along the pedestrian areas around the Cathedral and Petite France district. Tonight we enjoy our final dinner together, served on board. (B,D)
Day 5: Strasbourg to London
We leave Strasbourg after breakfast transferring by coach to the station, where we board the TGV for our journey to Paris. Here we join our return Eurostar service to St Pancras International, arriving mid-afternoon. (B)
Your Cruise Ship
All of CroisiEurope’s fleet have between 50 and 77 cabins, each with a shower/wc, television, hairdryer, safe and picture window. Each ship also has a comfortable lounge/bar and a separate restaurant where meals are served. Three-course lunches and dinners are waiter served, and breakfast is a self-service buffet. There is a large sun-deck with deckchairs on each vessel where you can relax and enjoy the views, weather permitting!
