Day 1: London to Paris
We depart St Pancras International on the Eurostar service to Paris. From here we transfer to our hotel for the night, the Mercure Gare de Lyon.You are free to choose a restaurant of your choice for dinner this evening.
Day 2: Paris to Venice
We leave Paris today on an early train heading towards the Alps where we cross the border into Italy and arrive in Milan. Here we change trains and continue on to Venice. Upon arrival we have a private boat transfer to join our cruise ship, which is moored close to the main sights. The crew welcomes us on board with a cocktail before dinner. (B,D)
Day 3: Venice – Chioggia – Venice
We enjoy breakfast as we sail across the magnificent Venice Lagoon.We have some free time in Chioggia to explore this bustling fishing port. After lunch on board, you may wish to join an optional excursion to Padua, an important city for art, where countless painters have left their mark. For those not visiting Padua, the ship will sail back to Venice, so relax and take in the sights of this beautiful bay. (B,L,D)
Day 4: Venice – Burano – Murano – Venice
Today our optional excursion takes us on a private boat to two of the best loved islands on the lagoon – Burano, known for its lace and Murano, famed for its glass blowing. This afternoon there is the option to join a guided visit of the Doges Palace and St Mark’s Square. On board ship this evening we have a gala dinner, followed by music and dancing. (B,L,D)
Day 5: New Year’s Eve in Venice
Today, you have the opportunity to explore Venice at your own pace.One of the most romantic cities in the world, the city lends itself to strolling along the maze of alleyways, enjoying the charms of its canals or simply watching the world go by from a café.We celebrate this special evening with a delicious meal accompanied by wine and followed by dancing.We toast in the New Year with champagne and welcome the dawn with a bowl of onion soup. Day 6: New Year’s Day at leisure in Venice
The ship remains in Venice today so you are free to spend it as you please.You may wish to further explore sights you have already seen on the cruise or just take in the stunning views one last time. (B,D)
Days 7-8:Turin and back to London
On Day 7 we leave Venice and take the train via Milan to Turin for one night at the Hotel Dock Milano. On Day 8 we continue to Paris where we join the Eurostar to London. (Day 7-B,D: Day 8-B)
Your Cruise Ship
All of CroisiEurope’s fleet have between 50 and 77 cabins, each with shower/wc, television, hairdryer, safe and picture window. Each ship also has a comfortable lounge/bar and a separate restaurant where meals are served. Three-course lunches and dinners are waiter served and breakfast is a self-service buffet. There is a large sun-deck with deckchairs on each vessel where you can relax and enjoy the views, weather permitting!
