Day 1: London to Strasbourg
We depart from St Pancras International by Eurostar to Paris, where our journey continues by TGV to Strasbourg. After settling into our floating hotel we disembark and travel by coach into Strasbourg for the opportunity to visit one of the largest Christmas markets in Europe. After time to explore, we return to the ship to enjoy a welcome cocktail, dinner and a ‘Christmas Tales’ themed evening. (D)
Day 2: Braubach
Today we cruise through the Rheingau region and its numerous vineyards, passing Mainz,Wiesbaden and the famous Lorelei Rock. After lunch on board, we moor in Braubach and depart by coach for a guided tour of Marksburg Castle. The castle has been inhabited for over 700 years and it is the only one on the Rhine that has never been destroyed. We are moored in Braubach overnight, enjoying dinner and a ‘Christmas Songs’ themed evening on board. (B,L,D
Day 3: Christmas Eve in Rudesheim
Our cruise continues up the Rhine Valley to the wine town of Rüdesheim. Our optional excursion visits Siegfried’s Museum of Mechanical Music, which houses a fascinating collection of old instruments from the last two centuries. Alternatively, you could spend some time exploring Rüdesheim at your own pace. The Niederwald Monument, perched high above the Rhine, with vineyards stretching out like a tapestry below, offers spectacular views across the river. A Christmas Eve dinner is served on board, and during the night, Father Christmas may pay you a visit! (B,L,D)
Day 4: Christmas Day sailing along the Rhine
Enjoy a leisurely Christmas Day cruising downstream on our way back to Strasbourg. We moor here in the evening to enjoy our dinner and Gala evening on board. (B,L,D)
Day 5: Boxing Day in Strasbourg
After breakfast on board you are free to spend your final day at leisure, discovering Strasbourg at your own pace.You could make your way to the Quaides Pêcheurs for a cruise on the waterways of the city, passing picturesque half-timbered houses, or stroll along the pedestrian areas around the Cathedral and Petite France areas. Tonight we enjoy our final dinner together on board. (B,D)
Day 6: Strasbourg to London
We leave Strasbourg after breakfast transferring by coach to the station, where we board the TGV for our journey to Paris. Here we join the Eurostar service to St Pancras International, arriving mid-afternoon. (B)
Your Cruise Ship
All of CroisiEurope’s fleet have between 50 and 77 cabins, each with a shower/wc, television, hairdryer, safe and picture window. Each ship also has a comfortable lounge/bar and a separate restaurant where meals are served. Three-course lunches and dinners are waiter served, and breakfast is a selfservice buffet. There is a large sun-deck with deckchairs on each vessel where you can relax and enjoy the views, weather permitting!
