Day 1: London to Brussels
We join the afternoon Eurostar from St Pancras International to Brussels, where we cross the city and spend the first night at the 4* Crowne Plaza Brussels, situated close to the botanical gardens and within walking distance of the Grand Place.

Day 3: Kitzbühel
Today we travel by train to Kitzbühel, Austria’s most renowned winter resort, occupying a splendid setting between the Kitzbüheler Horn and Hahnenkamm, the mountain that hosts the world-famous downhill ski race. With colourful houses, quaint streets and a historic Old Town, Kitzbühel is a great place to soak up the atmosphere of the Tyrol. (B,D)

Day 4: At leisure in Wörgl
Relax in Wörgl or use its excellent rail connections to explore the Inn Valley and beyond. Perhaps venture to nearby Innsbruck to marvel at its imperial buildings, set within a spectacular alpine panorama, or alight at Jenbach, from where the heritage Zillertalbahn and Achenseebahn railways connect the Inn Valley to the surrounding area. (B,D)

Day 5: To Oberammergau
We travel back into Bavaria today to the pretty village of Oberammergau, which becomes a cultural centre once-a-decade due to the Passion Play. Our hotel in Oberammergau is the 3* Hotel Arnika. (B,D)

Day 6: Oberammergau Passion Play
Spend the morning soaking up the special atmosphere of Oberammergau during Passion Play season, which has occurred once every decade for nearly 400 years. Perhaps visit the museum, the local churches or marvel at the village’s frescoes. The play’s male participants are easily recognisable around the village, as they are not allowed to shave for months before the play season. After lunch, settle down in your seat for the epic story of Jesus of Nazareth’s crucifixion and resurrection. Dinner is served during the interval in a local restaurant. (B,L,D)

Day 7: To Brussels
Retracing our route across Germany, we arrive in Brussels for a night at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. (B)
