INCLUDED EXCURSIONS

Guided tour of Nice

We enjoy a guided tour of the beautiful city of Nice, including the superb Russian cathedral and the port area, where sleek yachts jostle for position with multi-coloured fishing boats. We travel up to Castel Park, set on a cliff-top with amazing views over the stunning coastline and sparkling sea, and finish in the Old Town, a delightful jumble of narrow alleyways, twisting lanes and small squares.

Excursion to Villefranche-sur-Mer

We travel by rail to Villefranche-sur-Mer. Take a stroll through the winding streets around the harbour, or have a paddle in the warm waters of the bay. The Old Town stretches up a steep terraced hill, topped by the Fort of Mont Alban which looks over the red roofs below. We have time for lunch at one of the cafés overlooking the water, before returning to Nice early afternoon.

Guided tour of Monaco

We enjoy a trip by rail along the spectacular coastline to the tiny principality of Monaco. We are met by our guide at the station, who introduces us to the history and culture of Monaco as we explore the Old Town. After a visit to the splendid Place du Palais, where we see the changing of the guard and the cathedral, your time is your own.Why not stroll around the port with its exquisite yachts or visit the world-famous casino? This evening we dine together in Nice.

OPTIONAL EXCURSIONS
